Rome, 1 September (LaPresse) – “Dialogue will resume if the two nominees withdraw or step down; otherwise, there will be no dialogue.” So said Bernardo Iovene, a long-standing correspondent for *Report*, at the end of a meeting with Paolo Corsini, director of Rai’s in-depth programmes, which was also attended by Giulio Valesini, representing the correspondents of the long-running Rai3 programme, who are prepared to threaten to walk out should the appointments of Giulia Presutti and Davide Piervincenzi as presenters be confirmed. “We have reiterated our position on behalf of both the external correspondents and the in-house editorial team. The broadcaster should withdraw the appointment of these two presenters and resume talks with us to get the programme back on air as soon as possible. This is the position we expressed to Director Corsini; tomorrow there will be a meeting with all the correspondents, both internal and external, as well as the production team,” continued Iovene. “What did Corsini say?
