Rome, 3 Sept. (LaPresse) – “This September, after 11 years, I will not be returning to the microphones of ‘Un giorno da pecora’ as I would have liked. My work commitments over the last three years have prevented me from covering the entire radio season, but right up until the last series, I was always allowed to broadcast live from the RAI headquarters in Milan for half the season. This year, despite my renewed availability, this arrangement – which allowed me to juggle ‘Un giorno da pecora’ with ‘Splendida cornice’ and my other commitments – was deemed unfeasible for editorial reasons. It was decided to have someone available all year round.” Geppi Cucciari wrote this on Instagram. “I’m sorry; I’ll miss the radio terribly, and I’ll miss Giorgio Lauro, who has always been much more than a colleague and with whom we’ve built a truly special bond over the years.” Cucciari then bids farewell to Rachele Brancatisano and the rest of the programme’s team. “We’ve all really grown together, through meetings, discussions, coffees and sandwiches eaten on the go,” she continues. “It was lovely to share this whole world with you” . She also extends her thanks “to all the guests we’ve had over these roughly 2,000 episodes – encounters that were sometimes surprising, sometimes disconcerting, but always enlightening. And I’ll miss the unique relationship with this programme’s listeners – a dedicated, attentive, demanding and passionate audience. We’ll meet again, I’m sure of it.”
