Madrid (Spain), Sept. 15 (LaPresse) – US director Woody Allen will begin shooting his new film in Madrid next October 5. The Madrid City Council announced this in a statement. The film will be a contemporary comedy starring Alexi Wasser, Jemima Kirke, Peter Vives, Marton Csokas and Jakob Oftebro. The feature film, produced by Wanda Visión, Gravier Productions Inc. and 3Six9 Studios, with the support of Screen Capital and Never Summer Range, benefits from a three-million-euro contribution from the Community and City of Madrid. Much of the filming will take place in the center of the Spanish capital, as well as in Aranjuez and in the south of the region, allowing various urban spaces to be incorporated into the film and promoting Madrid’s image among audiences around the world. The title of the feature film will include the word “Madrid”. The first details about the project will be presented on October 1 at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, one of the locations chosen for the film. “By participating in this project, the City Council continues its work of supporting productions in which Madrid has a significant presence, both during filming and on screen. The integration of the city into international audiovisual productions contributes to enhancing its cultural, architectural and urban heritage, while also consolidating its appeal as a film location,” the Madrid City Council said in a statement.
