(LaPresse) – ‘Widow’s Bay’ and ‘The Pitt’ were the big winners at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, presented at a ceremony celebrating excellence in television programming and individual achievements during the 2025–2026 television season, held on Monday evening in Los Angeles. The series ‘Widow’s Bay’ won the award for best comedy series, whilst ‘The Pitt’ took the prize for best drama series. In the miniseries category, ‘DTF St. Louis’ triumphed, being crowned Best Anthology Series. The ceremony was hosted by Mariska Hargitay, the American actress best known for her role as Detective Olivia Benson in ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’, a role for which she won a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award.
