Milan: Elderly Woman Killed at Home, 48-Year-Old Son Arrested

Milan, March 11 (LaPresse) – A 48-year-old man has been arrested by the State Police for the murder of his 75-year-old mother, committed in their home in Milan on the night of January 12-13. The Mobile Squad, led by Alfonso Iadevaia, executed a custody order in prison issued by Judge Fiammetta Modica at the request of Prosecutor Giancarla Serafini, who coordinated the investigation. The man is accused of aggravated voluntary homicide and mistreatment. According to investigators, the suffocation murder, initially classified as a natural death, occurred after an argument, the latest in a series since the son, separated from his partner, had returned to live with the woman. Investigators also found a bank transfer of 30,000 euros from the elderly woman's account to her son's. They believe the suspect himself ordered the transfer of the money.
