Milan, March 22 (LaPresse) – "In these days, I have deeply felt the support of your closeness, especially through the prayers with which you have accompanied me. Therefore, even though I cannot be physically present among you, I express my great joy in knowing that you are united with me and among yourselves in the Lord Jesus, as the Church."
These are the words of Pope Francis in his message to the participants of the Jubilee pilgrimage of the Archdiocese of Naples and other dioceses, delivered by the Archbishop of Naples, Cardinal Domenico Battaglia, during the Mass in St. Peter’s Square.
In pilgrimages, the Pope added, "the unity that gathers you as a community around your Pastors and the Bishop of Rome is expressed, as well as the commitment to embrace Jesus' invitation to enter 'through the narrow gate.' Love is like this: it unites and makes people grow together. For this reason, despite different paths, it has brought you here together to the tomb of Peter, from where you can set out again even stronger in faith and more united in charity."
