Rome, 27th March (LaPresse) – ‘I constantly receive messages from people saying they are praying for the Pope, for his full recovery, his re-establishment, so he can return to his activities and govern the Church, perhaps not as before, different ways will have to be found, but in any case he must be able to do so’. These were the words of the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, on the sidelines of the debate organised as part of the third edition of the ‘Chair of Hospitality’ at the Fraterna Domus in Sacrofano. ‘It seems to me that the Pope is well connected with the whole Church and all the faithful,’ he added, “as demonstrated by the expressions of affection and above all of prayer with which he was accompanied during the days of his illness, and which continue”.
