Conclave, Giannini: "Ready from day one for a white smoke"

Rome, May 5 (LaPresse) – "Maximum attention will be paid. We are prepared as if the white smoke could appear from the very first day (Wednesday, May 7), in terms of security checks and law enforcement personnel involved. Where there are large numbers of faithful, there will be very significant security measures, including anti-drone systems. We will replicate the security services used for the funeral when foreign dignitaries come to greet the new Pope." These were the words of the Prefect of Rome, Lamberto Giannini, at the end of the provincial security and order committee meeting held this afternoon at the Rome Prefecture in preparation for the upcoming Conclave set to begin next Wednesday.
