Rome, June 11 (LaPresse) – The autopsy on the body of Ana Sergia Alcivar Chenche, a 46-year-old woman originally from Ecuador, is scheduled for tomorrow at the forensic medicine institute of Verano in Rome. She died last Saturday at the emergency room of Umberto I Polyclinic, where she arrived in critical condition in a private ambulance—called too late—after undergoing a liposuction procedure in an unauthorized medical office in the Torrevecchia area, Primavalle district.
Charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with her death are plastic surgeon Jose Lizarraga Picciotti, 65, an anesthesiologist, and a nurse. The autopsy was ordered by prosecutor Sergio Colaiocco. The case is being investigated by the Rome police's mobile unit and the Primavalle district police station.
