Milan, Sept. 9 (LaPresse) – “Seeing little Adam smile is truly a great joy. Time will tell whether he and his mother will stay here in Milan or find another destination. What matters right now is seeing a child who has truly become a child again after the tragedy he experienced,” said Guido Bertolaso, Health Councillor of the Lombardy Region, speaking to reporters during the inauguration of the emergency room at the ‘Pini’ Hospital in Milan.
Asked about the boy who arrived from Gaza to receive treatment, Bertolaso added:
“Not only Adam, but all the children currently hospitalized in Lombardy’s hospitals are being cared for with the same love and affection we give to children of any nationality. We have no signs of major concern at the moment. However, there are some cases at the Papa Giovanni Hospital in Bergamo for which the prognosis remains extremely guarded.”
