Bologna, Sep 9 (LaPresse) – The murder of Saman Abbas, the 18-year-old of Pakistani origin living in Novellara (Reggio Emilia) whose relatives were convicted for her death, was allegedly premeditated by the family clan, unable to accept the young woman’s independence. This emerges from the reasoning of the Bologna Court of Appeal’s sentence, which sentenced Saman’s parents to life imprisonment and her cousins and uncle to 22 years. According to the judges, “once definite confirmation was received of Saman’s determination to leave the family and live her own life, the relatives decided to carry out the plan to eliminate her.”
