Chico Forti remains in prison. His uncle: “After 27 years, we were hoping”

Trento, Sept. 23 (LaPresse) – “After 27 years in prison, we were hoping.” This is what Gianni Forti, uncle of Chico, the entrepreneur from Trentino currently imprisoned in Verona after being extradited from the United States where he was sentenced to life for the murder of Dale Pike, said commenting on the decision of the Verona supervisory court not to grant parole. Forti’s lawyers have announced an appeal to the Court of Cassation. Forti has been held at the Montorio facility for sixteen months and, according to his uncle, “he has had impeccable conduct. According to Italian law, he would be entitled to parole.”
