Naples, 30 September (LaPresse) – In Domus De Maria, in the province of Cagliari, Carabinieri from the Pula and Domus De Maria stations intervened at Cala Cipolla following reports of the presence of several migrants who had just landed on the coast. At the scene, the military tracked down 17 people who claimed to be Iranian nationals. Among them was one injured person, who was rescued by 118 medical personnel and transported by helicopter to the hospital. The migrants also reported to the military that there may be other people at sea who have not yet been found, following an alleged shipwreck. For this reason, the Port Authority was notified and the Carabinieri Helicopter Unit of Elmas was activated, which is operating in coordination with other law enforcement agencies. The search is ongoing.
