Gaza, Piantedosi: “In protests, nostalgic supporters of armed struggle reappear”

Florence, Oct. 11 (LaPresse) – “Our investigators report the reappearance of some nostalgic supporters of armed struggle,” said Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, speaking in Florence at Il Foglio’s “Festival of Optimism.” “Some groups,” he added, “do not hide it in their flyers. Beyond direct involvement, I have warned about the risk of underestimating the issue by those who fail to immediately distance themselves. We must make sure that what happened in those years does not happen again, and we should learn from history, which often repeats certain patterns.” “In Parliament, I said that everything behind some of the scenes we have seen during recent demonstrations, as well as certain elements, are being examined by investigators to determine whether some apparently coordinated actions are part of a broader strategy,” Piantedosi added, referring to recent demonstrations in support of the Global Sumud Flotilla and the Palestinian people.
