Rome, Oct. 12 (LaPresse) – “In recent days, the agreement to begin the peace process has brought a spark of hope in the Holy Land.” These were the words of Pope Leo XIV during the Angelus, as he added:
“I encourage the parties involved to continue courageously along the path toward a just, lasting peace that respects the legitimate aspirations of both the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.”
“Let us beware of any instrumentalization of faith, which risks turning those who are different — often the poor — into enemies, into ‘lepers’ to be avoided and rejected.
Mary’s path is one that follows Jesus, and Jesus’ path leads to every human being, especially to those who are poor, wounded, or sinful. This is why authentic Marian spirituality makes God’s tenderness and motherhood present in the Church today,” the Pontiff emphasized.
