Padua, Oct 17 (LaPresse) – “Harsh, painful and humanly incomprehensible is the dramatic event that caused the death of Marco, Valerio and Davide, and the injury of many officers in service for the common good.” Thus Monsignor Gian Franco Saba, Military Ordinary for Italy, said in his homily during the State funerals inside the Basilica of Santa Giustina in Padua for the three Carabinieri Marco Piffari, Davide Bernardello and Valerio Daprà, who died in the explosion of the farmhouse in Castel d’Azzano, in the province of Verona. “To you, dear families of Marco, Valerio and Davide, the embrace of everyone and our united prayer. And to all those who were painfully involved and injured in the tragic event, from this house of prayer goes a greeting filled with affection, closeness and trust.”
