Cucchi case: Giovanni, father of Stefano and Ilaria, has died

Rome, Oct. 18 (LaPresse) – Giovanni Cucchi, father of Stefano and Ilaria, has died. The news was shared by Fabio Anselmo, the family’s lawyer, with a post on Facebook. “There are words that are not forgotten, that remain engraved even when the voices that pronounced them fall silent. From today, unfortunately, Giovanni Cucchi, Stefano’s father, is no longer with us. Many – too many – have written and said that Giovanni didn’t care about his son, that he had abandoned him, that Stefano was alone. They did so for years, to justify the unjustifiable, to smear a family already shattered by grief. Yet, that fabricated truth collapsed before a courtroom when Giovanni read the letter Stefano had written to him two years before his death,” writes Anselmo, who concludes: “Giovanni, with your voice you gave voice to your son. Thank you for your strength.”
