Milan, Oct. 21 (LaPresse) – “Our city is always ready to fight injustices and abuses, and last night the numbers were seen again — numbers not seen since 1944. Our city deserves respect.” On Facebook, lawyer Emilio Coppola, who represents some of the Napoli fans stopped and expelled in Eindhoven, reposted the message of one of the team’s supporters traveling abroad, showing a photo of the hands of some of the 180 people detained yesterday.
“One hundred and eighty sons of Naples arrested last night ‘preventively’ just for heading toward the center of Eindhoven, the city where today’s match will take place, as happens in all matches of any European competition – writes the fan in the post – Detained until dawn after searches, interrogations (which led to absolutely nothing), and having been numbered on their skin as only in Auschwitz, they were then sent back with a ban on entering the city and with their tickets cancelled.”
“Brothers, friends and acquaintances who make so many sacrifices between work, family and economic means only to follow that damned shirt, victims of an abuse of power that violates every civil and human right – continues the post – This is the Europe they are building, founded on Nazism and the repression of any form of social gathering, so dear to our beloved Italian government and its henchmen, the first to roll out the red carpet for the fan groups coming to our cities with bad intentions, only to be driven out by the people. And we are ready to do it again. Honour to the sons of Naples, present in every struggle.”
