Milan, 22 October (LaPresse) – Milan magistrate Marta Pollicino has accepted the plea bargain agreement between the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office, Davide Lacerenza and his former partner Stefania Nobile, with sentences of 4 years and 8 months and 3 years respectively in the Gintoneria investigation. The entrepreneur and Wanna Marchi’s daughter were arrested in March for drug possession and dealing and aiding and abetting prostitution in an investigation by the financial police coordinated by public prosecutor Francesca Crupi. The confiscation of approximately €900,000, considered to be the illegal proceeds of the crimes, has been ordered, and the sentence “completely wipes out Davide Lacerenza’s assets”, explains Liborio Cataliotti, the lawyer representing both defendants. The bottles of fine champagne and other assets seized from the premises in Via Napo Torriani will be auctioned off, which, according to an expert report ordered in the proceedings, fully cover the value of the seizure. The severity of the sentence will allow Lacerenza to apply for probation with social services and will enable him “to re-socialise by obtaining an alternative to detention”, “following the re-education programme at Serd for substance abuse”, explains Cataliotti. Nobile, already deemed unsuitable for detention after being sentenced to nine years in the Wanna Marchi trial (she served about half of her sentence), will begin community service.
