Vatican, King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrive at the Holy See

Vatican City (Vatican), Oct. 23 (LaPresse) – King Charles III and Queen Camilla have arrived in the Vatican to meet Pope Leo XIV. The royal couple entered the territory of the Holy See through Via della Conciliazione. After passing through the Arch of the Bells, Charles and Camilla were welcomed in the Courtyard of San Damaso. Then, in the Apostolic Palace, they will meet the Pope. In the Courtyard of San Damaso, the royals were greeted by Monsignor Leonardo Sapienza, Regent of the Prefecture of the Papal Household, and by the Gentlemen of His Holiness. For the occasion, the royal standard of the United Kingdom is flying in the inner courtyard of the Apostolic Palace. Security measures have been reinforced, with Via della Conciliazione closed and bomb-sniffing dog checks in place.
