Rome, Nov 7 (LaPresse) – “Adolescents and young people need to form their conscience, develop their inner life, build positive relationships with peers, and engage in constructive dialogue with adults in order to become free and responsible architects of their own lives. The fear of the future and of adult responsibilities observed among young people makes them particularly fragile. Often, they are not encouraged to strive for a virtuous and meaningful life and tend to turn inward.”
This is what Pope Leo XIV said in a video message sent to the 7th National Conference on Addictions, held at the ‘Auditorium della Tecnica’ congress center in Rome. “State institutions, volunteer associations, the Church, and society as a whole are called to perceive in these young people a request for help and a deep thirst for life, offering attentive and supportive guidance that encourages intellectual and moral effort.”
