Milan, Nov. 8 (LaPresse) – Attorney Domenico Aiello, defense counsel for former Pavia prosecutor Mario Venditti, announced that he has “just formalized a request for preliminary evidence to the preliminary investigation judge in Brescia” regarding Venditti’s electronic devices. Venditti is under investigation by the Brescia Public Prosecutor’s Office for corruption in judicial proceedings in relation to the Garlasco case. “In order not to appear unwilling to release what the Brescia Public Prosecutor’s Office deemed essential,” the lawyer writes in a note, “we used exactly the passage contained in the seizure notified on September 26, 2025, literally copied and inserted into the request. Obviously, in order not to carry out an unlawful act, already annulled by the Review Court, we submitted the extraction of the data to the two parameters of legality prescribed by the law and by the Court of Cassation, namely the delimitation of the time period of extraction and the identification of the so-called keywords, both parameters of immediate and rigorous reference to the criminal hypothesis contested against Dr. Venditti. It would be desirable for the preliminary hearing to take place only after the discussion and decision of the next review, the third, which focuses precisely on the legality of the seizure in the context of corruption in judicial proceedings,” concludes the note from Attorney Aiello.
