Rome, 16 November (LaPresse) – The wave of bad weather currently affecting Liguria continues. ‘Yesterday,’ according to the regional authorities, “between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., the fire brigade carried out 252 interventions throughout the region, half of which were in the Genoa area. As for the landslide that occurred yesterday in Pegli, no people were evacuated from their homes. Three families were evacuated in Via Loria in Genoa due to a fallen tree: they then returned after the operators intervened. Also in Pegli, there was disruption in Via della Pineta: several people were left without electricity due to a fallen tree. The Civil Protection Operations Room will remain open for the duration of the alert, in contact with the territory. At the moment, it is raining throughout the region: 95 millimetres of rain fell in Montoggio in 12 hours. In one hour, 48 millimetres fell in Genoa Gavette. As for the alert in the western part of the region (zone A), there is a yellow alert for thunderstorms until 12 noon, which becomes orange until 6 p.m. and then yellow again until 9 p.m. today, Sunday 16 November. In the centre of the region (zone B), the yellow alert for thunderstorms continues until 12 noon today, becoming orange until 9 pm and then yellow again until 10 pm. In the east of the region (zone C), the yellow alert continues until 12 noon today, then orange until 9 pm and yellow again until 10 pm. In zone D, the western slopes of the Po Valley, the yellow alert will remain in place until 12 noon, becoming orange until 6 p.m. and then yellow again until 10 p.m. today. In zone E, the eastern slopes of the Po Valley, the yellow alert will remain in place until 12 noon today, then become orange until 9 p.m. and then yellow again until 10 p.m.
