Municipalities 2025, ItaliaOggi: Milan ranks first for quality of life, Caltanissetta last

Milan, 16 November (LaPresse) – Milan remains in first place for quality of life in the 2025 edition of the survey conducted by ItaliaOggi and Ital Communications, in collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome. The Lombard capital ranks highest for services, income, infrastructure and economic dynamism, followed by Bolzano and Bologna, which climbs to third place. Rimini and Ascoli Piceno recorded the most significant improvements, gaining over twenty positions. At the bottom of the ranking is Caltanissetta, preceded by Crotone and Reggio Calabria. Foggia also performed poorly, falling from 93rd to 104th place, while Pordenone and Gorizia fell significantly. The survey confirms the wide gap between the centre-north and the south: large areas of social hardship remain in the south, while the north-west shows a slight decline and the north-east and centre show small improvements.
