Milan, 25 Nov. (LaPresse) – The Milan Prosecutor’s Office has requested a sentence of 1 year and 8 months for Chiara Ferragni in the trial for aggravated fraud related to the Pandoro Pink Christmas and the charity linked to Easter eggs. The deputy prosecutor of Milan, Eugenio Fusco, and prosecutor Cristian Barilli also requested a sentence of 1 year and 8 months for Ferragni’s former right-hand man, Fabio Damato. One year was requested for the owner and CEO of Cerealitalia, Francesco Cannillo. The trial will resume on 19 December, when the defenses will present their arguments. Meanwhile, the Court has admitted the Consumer Protection Association as a civil party, represented by lawyer Aniello Chianese, which is seeking compensation but has not yet quantified the amount. “We have always acted in good faith, no one profited from this. I am confident, I cannot say more,” Ferragni said leaving the Milan Courtroom. “Her innocence will come to light,” added lawyer Marcello Bana, who is representing the 38-year-old along with colleague Giuseppe Iannaccone.
