Migrants: Pope says no one should have to flee their country or feel rejected

Rome, 1 December (LaPresse) – The ‘courage’ of migrants is ‘God’s light’ that ‘shines even in the darkest moments’, but we must commit ourselves ‘so that no one has to flee their country because of absurd and ruthless conflicts, and so that those who knock on the door of our communities never feel rejected, but welcomed’. Pope Leo XIV said this during his homily at a meeting with bishops, priests, consecrated men and women, and pastoral workers at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa.
