Palermo, Dec. 3 (LaPresse) – Former Sicilian governor Totò Cuffaro has been arrested and placed under house arrest as part of the investigation by the Palermo prosecutor’s office into corruption related to public contracts in Sicily. The Carabinieri of the ROS carried out the order issued by the investigating judge this morning. No measures were taken, however, against the other two prominent suspects, national deputy Saverio Romano and regional deputy of the Christian Democracy party, Carmelo Pace.
