Garlasco murder, Poggi’s lawyers: “The only certain fact is Stasi’s DNA on the trash”

Milan, Dec. 4 (LaPresse) – “The only certain and overlooked fact” in the expert report on the Garlasco murder “is the discovery of DNA belonging to the convicted Stasi and Chiara on the evidence that testifies to the victim’s last moments of life.” This is according to lawyers Gian Luigi Tizzoni and Francesco Compagna, representing the parents and brother of Marco Poggi, commenting on the findings of expert Denise Albani and focusing on the items found in the trash, namely the Estathè straw, the Fruttolo wrappers, and the cereal bag. For the civil lawyers, the “reading of the conclusions of the expert report, carried out with seriousness and discretion,” shows that “nothing new has emerged against Mr. Sempio compared to what was already known,” and they hope “that everything will ultimately be evaluated with due attention” and the “respect due to the final judgment” convicting the ex-boyfriend. ‘More than nine months have now passed,’ conclude Tizzoni and Compagna, referring to the reopening of the investigation, ‘and every day, the Poggi family is exposed to a grueling media game whose aims are unknown’.
