Health: NAS and ADM inspections in 73 shisha bars, 14 reports filed

Milan, 5 December (LaPresse) – Inspections carried out by the Carabinieri’s Anti-Adulteration and Health Unit (NAS) and the Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) throughout Italy in 73 shisha bars, where molasses for hookahs and tobacco for water pipes are sold and consumed, led to 14 people being reported to the administrative authorities and the seizure of 22 kilograms of tobacco, 17 kilograms of molasses for hookahs, 44 hookahs and various packs of mouthpieces. The operation uncovered various violations, particularly the failure of owners to possess the so-called “special licence”, i.e. authorisation for sale and consumption.
