Turin, 5 December (LaPresse) – Following “respect” in 2024, the Treccani Italian Encyclopaedia Institute has chosen “trust” as its word of the year for 2025 due to its relevance and ethical significance. The Treccani 100 Italian Dictionary defines trust as “the attitude of calm confidence that arises from a positive assessment of a person or group of people, towards others or towards oneself”. Treccani’s choice also takes into account the opinion expressed by many young users: “trust” was one of the most clicked words on the Treccani.it portal and the one with the highest percentage increase compared to the previous year.
