Bosco family, Al Bano: ‘I trust those parents, I offer them a home and work’

Milan, 8 December (LaPresse) – ‘I understand the family living in the woods; I made the same choice for myself, Romina and our children. Now I am offering them a home. And, if they contact me, I will also offer them work because we cannot turn our backs on humanity.’ So said Al Bano Carrisi in an interview with Corriere della Sera, referring to the story of the family living in a forest in Palmoli, in the province of Chieti, whose three children were removed by the Juvenile Court of L’Aquila. ‘I too lived in a house near the woods, far from the town and without modern conveniences,’ he added. And when I heard their story, I was impressed. Mine was a choice. I didn’t want my children to live in chaos and pollution. I married Romina on 26 July 1970 and began building our house in September. By the end of the following year, we were living there. Always in line with my work, which has always required me to travel.”
