Rome, December 24 (LaPresse) – A new shipwreck has reportedly occurred in the central Mediterranean. According to a report on Sea-Watch’s X account, “116 people have lost their lives in yet another shipwreck in 2025. The sole survivor was rescued by a Tunisian fisherman. They had set out last Thursday, and we searched for them with Seabird on Monday. Today, Alarm Phone confirmed the shipwreck, which occurred shortly after departure.”
