Bad weather: rivers in Emilia Romagna above threshold 2, Mose system not active in Venice

Milan, 25 Dec. (LaPresse) – New rises in the levels of the Secchia, Panaro and Reno rivers are spreading in the valley sections with levels below threshold 2 due to the rains that have hit Emilia Romagna in recent hours. According to the regional weather alert bulletin, a gradual but progressive attenuation of rainfall is expected in the central-eastern plains in the coming hours, while it will remain weak and stationary in the western plains and mountains. Subsequently, starting in the early hours of the morning, rainfall is expected to intensify in the central-eastern mountains, where it may also be of moderate intensity. Weather conditions are currently improving in Venice, where 95 cm of high water has been recorded: the Mose system will not be activated. The Municipality’s Tide Centre forecasts normal tide conditions for tomorrow and Saturday.
