Turin, 5 January (LaPresse) – “I can only say that Greenland, like the Faroe Islands, is part of the Kingdom of Denmark and, since Denmark is a member of NATO, Greenland will also be defended by NATO in principle. And if there are further needs to strengthen defence efforts concerning Greenland, we will have to discuss this within the alliance.” This was stated by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, who travelled to Vilnius today to meet with his Lithuanian counterpart Kestutis Budrys.
