Earthquakes: 5.1 magnitude tremor off the coast of Calabria

Rome, 10 January (LaPresse) – A 5.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded by INGV at sea, off the south-eastern coast of Calabria. The tremor was felt at 05:53 in Reggio Calabria, with numerous reports also coming in from Messina and other areas of Sicily and Calabria. According to the website of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, the epicentre was in the sea off the Ionian coast at a depth of 65 kilometres.
