Rome: checks at Termini station, over 6 million counterfeit items seized

Milan, 15 January (LaPresse) – Over 6 million items of costume jewellery and clothing on sale, found to be counterfeit, were seized by the Rome Financial Police, in collaboration with the Carabinieri and the Rome Police Headquarters. The operation took place in the area between Via Giolitti, Via Cavour, Via Massimo D’Azeglio and Via Amendola. Three people were reported to the judicial authorities. In addition, approximately 3,000 gadgets and items of costume jewellery offered for sale in violation of product safety regulations were seized administratively, with an administrative fine of €3,098 imposed.
