School, Valditara-Piantedosi circular against knives: metal detectors on request

Rome, Jan. 28 (LaPresse) – Ministers Giuseppe Valditara and Matteo Piantedosi today signed a circular, addressed in particular to the territorial branches of the two ministries, which aims to combat the use of knives among young people. Among other things, it provides for the use of metal detectors in schools. The measure, it is explained, may be adopted at the request of school administrators in the context of systematic discussions with prefectures and police headquarters.
