Milan, 31 Jan. (LaPresse) – The reform of the judicial system ‘will have no direct and immediate impact’ on ‘cases of miscarriage of justice’ which ‘should be harshly criticised’ but ‘which, fortunately, are statistically very limited’. This was stated by the President of the Milan Court of Appeal, Giuseppe Ondei, at the opening of the 2026 judicial year. For the highest magistrate in the Milan judicial district, which also includes the courts of Pavia, Varese, Lodi, Busto Arsizio, Monza, Sondrio, Lecco and Como, the double CSM, the draw, the separation of careers and the High Disciplinary Court for magistrates will have no impact on any cases of “pathological judicial activity”. If “the goal,” he said, “is to eliminate such situations,” then to achieve it, “only one thing is needed: for everyone to work together with seriousness, balance and great professional skill”.
Referendum, Ondei: ‘Reform has nothing to do with cases of miscarriage of justice’
