Pope: ‘No more civilian victims, put an end to intolerable injustice’

Milan, 1 February (LaPresse) – ‘Today in Italy is the National Day for Civilian Victims of War and Conflict in the World, an initiative that is sadly tragically relevant. Every day, civilian victims of armed actions that openly violate morality and the law are reported. The dead and wounded of yesterday and today will truly be honoured when this intolerable injustice comes to an end.’ These were the words of Pope Leo XIV at the end of the Angelus in St. Peter’s Square.
