Askatasuna, Piantedosi: ‘No lack of preparation or excessive use of force’

Rome, 4 February (LaPresse) – “In some media outlets, I have heard commentators speculate that, in Turin, the management of public order showed some form of lack of preparation or even excessive use of force. I reject these hypotheses with the utmost determination. And I do so not to defend the reputation of the minister in office, but to defend the work and professionalism of dozens and hundreds of prefects, police chiefs and police managers, who worked at the risk of their own safety.” Thus spoke Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi in the Senate in his communications on the events in Turin.
