Milan: Inter ultras under house arrest, “Cremonese players and fans in danger”

Milan, 6 February. (LaPresse) – Milan magistrate Giulia Marozzi has validated the arrest of the Inter ultras who threw a firecracker at Cremonese goalkeeper Emil Audero during Sunday’s Cremonese-Inter match at the “Giovanni Zini” stadium and has ordered the 19-year-old to be placed under house arrest at his parents’ home in Milan. In addition, the preliminary investigation judge, called upon to rule on the young man’s arrest in flagrante delicto within 48 hours, carried out on Tuesday by the Digos coordinated by public prosecutor Francesco Cajani, on the grounds of throwing dangerous material aggravated by the suspension of a sporting event, forwarded the documents to Cremona, declaring her ‘lack of jurisdiction over the territory’. The member of the organised Nerazzurri fan group “Viking”, led by Nino Ceccarelli, would have represented a “serious danger to the safety of the players and other people in the stands” and could repeat the offence due to his “inability to control his impulses”, according to the five-page order. The arrested individual had already been reported for drug dealing and had obtained around ‘thirty’ firecrackers similar to the one used at the start of the second half of the match in Naples.
