Rome, February 6 (LaPresse) – A sudden and seemingly inexplicable death. These are the elements on which the investigation opened by the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office into the death of Diana Cojocaru, 36, originally from Moldova and a long-time resident of the capital, who died at the Tor Vergata Polyclinic, is focusing. Manslaughter is the crime being investigated by detectives from the V Group of the Prenestino district of the Rome Capital local police. Diana was a young mother, married, and leaves behind a 12-year-old son. She lived in Castelverde with her family and worked in the beauty industry as a lashmaker, specializing in eyelash extensions. On the evening of January 28, the woman suddenly felt ill, complaining of severe pain in her abdomen and chest and difficulty breathing. It was her son who raised the alarm, asking a neighbor for help. At 11:39 p.m., 911 was contacted and an ambulance arrived at the family’s apartment, where paramedics examined Diana for about two hours. Only at the end of the rescue operation at home was she transferred to the emergency room of the Tor Vergata Polyclinic, where the 36-year-old arrived around 3 a.m. on January 29.
