Rome, Feb. 12 (LaPresse) – The Chief Prosecutor of Civitavecchia, Alberto Liguori, provided an update on the investigation into the femicide of Federica Torzullo in Anguillara, confirming that the motive lies in her husband Claudio Agostino Carlomagno’s refusal to accept the separation, as he allegedly acted to preserve his own comfort and control over the family villa. The exact dynamics of the murder, the precise location of the attack and the possible involvement of third parties remain to be clarified; autopsy examinations and forensic analyses of the seized mobile phones will constitute the next investigative step. Carlomagno allegedly acted between the evening of January 8 and the morning of January 9, in a planned and not impulsive manner, while the victim was packing her bags to move. The Prosecutor’s Office stresses that the weapon used has not yet been found and that the circumstances remain to be verified, including whether the body was burned in a pit or in the back of a truck. Liguori highlighted the priority of protecting the minor child, calling for the utmost discretion and responsibility in the dissemination of information, avoiding media exposure of the child’s daily life. Finally, it was reiterated that room for clarification remains open to the suspect, but without further elements the current reconstruction, based on evidence, remains the most plausible.
