Naples, 17 February (LaPresse) – The dome of the Teatro Sannazaro has been seriously damaged by a fire that broke out at dawn in the building in Via Chiaia, where the theatre is located on the ground floor. Part of the dome above the stalls has collapsed. The dome is not visible from the street, as it is set within the courtyard of the building adjacent to the church of Santa Maria della Mercede. Several teams of firefighters and the State Police are on site.
