On May 23, the eve of the anniversary of the encyclical “Laudato Sì,” the Pope will be in Acerra for a meeting with the faithful of the Terra dei Fuochi. On June 20 the Pope will travel to Pavia, where the body of Saint Augustine is kept. On August 6 Leo XIV will return to Assisi, where he had been last November on the occasion of the general assembly of the Italian Bishops’ Conference: at the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli a meeting with young people gathered for the eighth centenary of the Passing of Saint Francis is scheduled, followed by a Mass. The Holy See Press Office added that on August 22 the Pontiff will attend the 47th Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples in Rimini.
