Rome, 3 March (LaPresse) – A boat carrying around 100 people, fleeing Libya and heading for Italy, is adrift in the central Mediterranean due to engine failure. This was reported by the Alarm Phone organisation. According to reports, the competent authorities have been alerted, but no action has yet been taken. Alarm Phone expresses ‘grave concern’ for the safety of the migrants and calls for ‘immediate rescue to avoid a possible tragedy at sea.’
