Milan, 4 March (LaPresse) – Over £205 million confiscated from brothers Giovanni, Cuono and Salvatore Pellini, entrepreneurs active in the waste recovery and disposal sector. Eight companies in Naples, Rome and Frosinone, 224 properties in various provinces in southern and central Italy, 75 plots of land, 70 financial accounts, 72 cars, three boats and two helicopters have been seized. According to investigations by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, part of the wealth is linked to illegal waste trafficking in the so-called Terra dei Fuochi (Land of Fires). A long legal process began in 2017: after an initial confiscation and an annulment by the Court of Cassation due to a formal defect in 2024, the Public Prosecutor’s Office launched new asset investigations. The Court then confirmed the significant disproportion between the assets owned and the declared income, ordering confiscation once again.
