Iran: drone attack on an Italian base in Kuwait – no injuries

“This morning, the Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait, which hosts US and Italian assets and personnel, was the target of a drone attack that struck a hangar housing a remotely piloted aircraft belonging to the Italian Air Task Force, which was destroyed. I immediately contacted Colonel Mangini to ascertain the condition of the Italian personnel present at the base. At the time of the attack, all personnel were safe and were not involved. I promptly informed Defence Minister Crosetto of the incident, with whom I am in constant contact to receive continuous updates on the situation of all our contingents abroad.” This was stated by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Luciano Portolano.
