Rome, 7 April (LaPresse) – The young man identified by the Carabinieri as the alleged perpetrator of the fatal assault that took place last night in Crema, in the province of Cremona, which claimed the life of 20-year-old Egyptian Hamza Salama, is a 17-year-old. The Brescia Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office is monitoring developments in the investigation. According to initial reports, following an argument, the 20-year-old was struck repeatedly with a metal bar or a stick by the 17-year-old, who is of Emirati origin and has no previous criminal record. After the attack, the young man reportedly fled on foot, covering his tracks and discarding the murder weapon. The minor was subsequently tracked down by the Carabinieri at his brother’s home in Sergnano, in the Cremona area. Further investigations are underway to clarify exactly how the events unfolded and the motive behind the attack.
