Santanchè case, former partner: ‘She betrayed the market and lost half a million’

Milan, 12 May (LaPresse) – Daniela Santanchè and the Visibilia companies are alleged to have caused ‘my entire group to lose between 450,000 and 500,000 euros’ and to have “betrayed” the ‘market’ and the Milan Stock Exchange. This was stated by Giuseppe Zeno, the financier and former minority shareholder of Visibilia Editore spa, before entering the trial for false accounting currently underway at the Court of Milan against the former Minister of Tourism and 15 other managers and auditors of the companies accused of having rigged the accounts between 2016 and 2022. The Fratelli d’Italia senator is ‘undoubtedly responsible’, claims Zeno, whose complaints triggered the investigations by the Guardia di Finanza and the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office; he is due to speak today in the courtroom of the Second Criminal Division. She was ‘the group’s director and, as the documents show, she was the only one who opposed the write-down of goodwill and the revision of the items relating to receivables’. ‘This is a fact that has been documented by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Financial Police,’ he added, ‘and subsequently, albeit somewhat belatedly, by Consob and the Bank of Italy, which then imposed fines on the company.’ The Campania-born financier, who operates from the Bahamas, said that there is “no doubt” because it is “on record” that there was a “comprehensive betrayal” by “all those who were supposed to supervise and verify the accounts” of Santanchè’s publishing and advertising companies.
